De fil en montagne specialized sewing workshop was established in 1987.
Our team's mission is to repair and modify clothing and outdoors equipment for the general public, for boutiques and manufacturers across Canada. We also have colleges, universities and summer camps that call upon our services regularly. One of our priorities is to give back high quality to your outdoors clothing and equipment. We have on hand a complete range of buckles, nylon straps, velcro®, zippers, eyelets, snap fasteners as well as a large variety of different types and colours of materials (waterproof, absorbent, isolator, etc.) and it's all available at our boutique/workshop in Montreal.
At the same time, De fil en montagne works at designing and at producing different equipment such as work harnesses, support belts, security Jackets, specific travel bags (satchel, pouch, clutch, cover, holster, etc.), camera covers, canvas shelters, etc ... We do our best to answer our client's needs while remaining high-tech due, in part, to a government grant from the Industry ministry for research and development. Our goal consists of offering quality products to the film making technicians, railroad and forestry workers, policemen, explorers, ambulance technicians, in fact, anybody that works or plays in activities that require specific designs, modifications or the creating of specific equipment. That's why you will find a variety of different products under the business name of Thread Marks® made by our team of workers at the boutique/workshop.
We also sell a large array of bags, pouches and holsters from TATONKA, HAX, GRAND, CIRQUE LELIÈVRE and Thread Marks® specially selected to answer your needs.
De Fil en Montagne also offers evening training and information sessions on raw materials and the different techniques used to make, repair and maintain your outdoors clothing and equipment.
